Our Founder Story
It Started in the Mountains
I was born in northern Pakistan, not far from the Karakoram range. Growing up, Shilajit was not a supplement. It was not a wellness trend. It was something the older men in our village talked about the way they talked about clean water and good sleep — as something fundamental, something the mountains provided if you knew where to look.
My grandfather collected it himself. He knew the rock faces, the seasons, the altitude. He knew that the resin that seeped from the high cliffs in late spring was different from what you found lower down. Darker. Denser. More potent. He never had a laboratory to prove it. He just knew.
I left Pakistan in my early twenties to study and eventually build a career abroad. But that knowledge stayed with me.

The Problem I Could Not Ignore
Years later, when I started looking for Shilajit in the UK and European market, I was genuinely shocked by what I found.
Dozens of brands. Bold claims. Beautiful packaging. And almost none of them could tell me where their product actually came from, how it was purified, or whether it had been independently tested for heavy metals.
I knew enough about Shilajit to know that those questions were not optional. Raw Shilajit collected from mountain rock can carry lead, arsenic, and cadmium from the surrounding geology. Without proper purification and independent testing, you have no idea what you are actually consuming.
I bought several products and sent them to a laboratory. The results were not reassuring.
That was the moment I decided to build something different.

Going Back to the Source
I spent the better part of two years travelling back to northern Pakistan — to Gilgit-Baltistan, to the high-altitude sites I had heard about since childhood — to find collectors who worked the way my grandfather had. People who understood the terrain, the seasons, and the difference between material worth collecting and material that was not.
What I found was a small network of experienced collectors working at altitudes above 3,000 metres, in areas far removed from industrial activity or agricultural runoff. The kind of sourcing that produces genuinely clean raw material — before purification even begins.
Building relationships with those collectors, documenting the sourcing sites, and establishing a supply chain with real chain-of-custody records took time. It was not the fastest route to market. But it was the only route I was willing to take.

Building the Standard, Not Just the Product
Once the sourcing was in place, the next challenge was purification. Traditional water-based purification — dissolving, filtering, and carefully evaporating the raw resin multiple times — is slow and yield-intensive. It is also the only method I trusted to produce a finished product that was both safe and potent.
We invested in controlled, low-temperature processing to preserve fulvic acid content through every purification cycle. High heat is faster and cheaper. It also degrades the compounds that make Shilajit worth taking in the first place.
Then came testing. I had seen what happened when brands skipped this step. I was not going to repeat it.
We partnered with Eurofins Scientific — one of the world’s most respected independent testing laboratories, holding ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation — to test every production batch for heavy metals, microbial safety, pesticide residues, and identity verification. Not once. Every batch.
We also pursued BSCG certification, which requires ongoing batch-level testing against over 500 substances and independent programme auditing. It is the standard I would want to see if I were the customer. So it became the standard we hold ourselves to.

Why the Lab Reports Are Public
When we launched Golden Shilajit Official, one of the first decisions we made was to publish our Eurofins lab reports openly — no sign-up, no request form, no delay. Anyone can view them on the Lab Reports page right now.
That decision was not a marketing strategy. It was a direct response to the problem I had encountered as a buyer. I had wanted to see the evidence and could not find it. I was not going to put another buyer in that position.
If the results are good — and ours are — there is no reason to hide them. Transparency is not a feature we offer. It is the minimum standard we hold ourselves to.
What This Brand Is Really About
Golden Shilajit Official exists because I grew up knowing what genuine Himalayan Shilajit was, spent years watching the market sell something far inferior under the same name, and decided to do something about it.
Every jar of purified Shilajit resin we produce is sourced from verified high-altitude sites in the Pakistan Himalayas, purified using traditional water-based methods with controlled temperature processing, independently tested by Eurofins, and BSCG certified.
My grandfather never needed a certificate of analysis to know what he was collecting. But the global supplement market is not a mountain village. It needs evidence. We provide it.
Thank you for being here. I hope what we have built earns your trust — not through claims, but through proof.
