How Golden Shilajit Is Extracted: Our Raw Sourcing & Extraction Process

The quality of purified Shilajit resin begins long before the purification process — it begins at the collection site. This article explains how we source and extract raw Shilajit from verified high-altitude sites in the Pakistan Himalayas.

Where We Collect

We collect exclusively from verified sites above 3,000 metres in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan — in the Karakoram range of the Pakistan Himalayas. Our collector network has worked these specific sites for years, with documented collection records for every batch. See: Our Sourcing Philosophy.

The Collection Window

Shilajit seeps from rock faces primarily during warmer months when mountain ice melts — a seasonal window of a few months per year. We plan our production around this annual window. We do not source from lower altitudes or alternative regions to meet demand outside this window.

Raw Material Assessment

Every batch of raw Shilajit is quarantined and assessed on arrival: visual inspection, solubility assessment, odour evaluation, and documentation review. Material that does not meet our intake standards is rejected.

From Raw to Purified

Raw Shilajit is not safe to consume. After collection, it enters our multi-stage water-based purification process. See: How We Filter Shilajit: Our Multi-Stage Purification Process.
